This week, children all across Canada will attend school programs in honour of Remembrance Day (November 11th).  By the time most kids attend primary school, they are familiar with the Poppy Campaign and the little, bright red flower pinned on our lapels.  But it is hard to explain to young children the significance of those flowers and the meaning they hold, without discussing the concept of war and how we must remember the tremendous sacrifices of the people involved.

So, this month in honour of Remembrance Day, we have gathered some poignant, beautifully written and illustrated books designed to help parents, grandparents and teachers explain the importance of remembering - Lest We Forget.
