The Regina celebration will begin as the Rick Hansen Medal enters the city limits on Highway #1 on the afternoon of Saturday, February 4th. Everyone is invited to the City Square plaza on February 4th at 3 p.m. to cheer on the final Rick Hansen Medal bearer of the day. The celebration will include live entertainment and recognition of the Rick Hansen team along with the 58 medal bearers that were selected for the relay in Regina. The celebration will continue into the evening with an exciting event taking place at the Regina Pats game. The game events will include a tribute to the Rick Hansen Foundation, a ceremonial puck drop, a demo from the National Sledge Hockey team, a silent auction for jerseys autographed by Rick Hansen, with proceeds going towards the foundation, and recognition of Regina’s medal bearers.
