Regina Youth Touch Football is a non-profit program designed to give Canadian youth an opportunity to play organized Touch Football within their community. A co-ed, non-contact sport, Touch Football is an emerging game that provides a fun, active, and safe environment for participants to develop fundamental skills of passing, catching, snapping and playing defensive positions as well. Touch Football encourages teamwork and fair play. Players are touched or tagged with the hand rather than tackled. Touch Football is a fast-paced and exciting game that provides a positive recreational activity for boys and girls ages 7 to 15 (by December 31/2015).
LEAGUE INFORMATION Start Date: August 15th, 2015. Two sessions per week consisting of one game and a practice session. All equipment is provided. Players require sneakers and shorts/windpants/sweats without pockets. (Cleats are optional) League Fee: $130 per player. Fees cover insurance, equipment, games, facilities, administration, etc...Participants keep the jerseys. Registration: May 1st - June 22nd, 2015 (Registration can close before this date if the league is full. Upon being full, players are added to a waitlist within their age division). League Play: August 15th – October 3rd (One game per week)
Time of Play: All games will go from 8:30am to 2:30pm. Each game is 1hr (4 - 15min quarters)
Field of Play: All games are played at the University of Regina.
Age Grouping: 7 year old mixed, 8/9 mixed, 10/11 mixed, 12/13 boys & girls division, and 14/15 boys & girls division. (If there are not enough girls to create separate divisions, we will play mixed)
League Refund Policy: Prior to the start of the season registration fees will be refunded less a $40 Administration Charge. From the start of the season through week 2 registration fees will be refunded less a $70 Administration Charge. After week 2 of the season there will be no refunds. YOUTH TOUCH FOOTBALL DEVELOPMENT CAMP A camp to develop the fundamental skills used in the game of touch football. Passing, catching, running patterns, punting, place kicking and defensive skills will all be covered. Qualified instructors provided by Football Saskatchewan.
Who: Boys and girls ages 7 to 15.
When: July 27th – July 31st, Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
Where: Leibel Field (Douglas Park)
Cost: $120.00 (The Camp and League fees are each $110, not $110 for both)

BASIC TOUCH RULES
7 players per team are allowed on the field. Field is 80 x 40
•Everyone is an eligible receiver.
•As in tackle football, the offensive team has 3 attempts or downs to advance the ball 10 yards down the field. Meanwhile, the defense tries to stop or delay the progress.
A ball carrier is stopped when he/she is tagged or "touched".
A defensive rusher (or rushers) stands 7 yards from the ball and at the snap of the ball runs in to attempt to touch the quarterback.
The quarterback stands at least 5 yards behind the line of scrimmage. He/she receives the ball from the centre by means of a long snap between the legs.
To the right is the basic formation for the offense and defense.
A team receives 6pts for a touchdown. Extra point(s): 5yd convert (1pt), 10yd convert (2pts), Rouge (1pt), Safety (2pts).
