Kindermusik is a music and movement program for children from birth to school age.  Not your typical music program--Kindermsuik is designed to enhance early childhood development through play, singing, dancing, listening, instrumental playing, and much more.  Kindermusik at Donna's Studio offers classes in English and en français.  Children with special needs are also invited to join at any age group. 

Donna Johnston-Martel is a mother of two beautiful boys, and a licensed Kindermusik educator.  Donna has taught arts education for several years at both the university and public schools level, and has earned her Maestro designation from Kindermusik headquarters.

Donna enjoys teaching children of all ages and loves watching them learn in their magical, marvellous world.  She is excited to offer a variety of classes at her Kindermusik studio in Southeast Regina (Village, Our Time, Imagine That, Young Child, and classes en français).

Kindermusik Village

• Newborn - 1 1/2 years old
• 45-minute classes for 8 weeks (8 units) for parent &tot
• Benefits for you and your child:

  - Nurture bonding between you and your child through intentional touch warm-ups, exercises, interactive dances and musical play

Kindermusik Our Time

• 1 1/2 - 3 years old
• 35 - 40 minute classes for 15 weeks (4 units) for parent & tot

• 3 - 5 years old
• 45-minute classes for 15 weeks (4 units)

  - Challenges your child through activities that promote problem-solving, making choices and expressing ideas

Kindermusik for the Young Child

• 5 - 7 years old
• 65 - 70 minute classes for 15 minutes (4 units)

  - Balances activities that integrate listening, vocal development, movement and performing in instrumental ensemble
  - Introduces your child to the written language of music while cultivating music creativity
  - Provides age-appropriate musical experiences that lead your child toward a lifetime of joyful music making
