The Hockey Sweater

Pre-Concert Activities 2:00 PM

Premiering in Regina after rave reviews in Toronto and Calgary, this delightful new orchestral work is based on The Hockey Sweater, Roch Carrier's iconic book! Inspired by his own childhood, the story tells the tale of a boy who had to wear a Maple Leafs sweater in the small, hockey-mad Québec town where he grew up.

A Duck in New York City
May 1, 2016 3:00 PM
Pre-Concert Activities 2:00 PM
Connie Kaldor, Singer-songwriter

The title story-song is about a little duck from the Prairies who has a big dream – making it to New York City and doing his ducky dance on Broadway! It turns out to be an adventurous journey that appears bound for failure until he meets up with a truck driver named Big Betty. She points him in the right direction and gives him that little nudge he needs to tackle the Big Apple!
